Fluid mechanics and related applications: flows coupled with mechanical, thermal, acoustic, rotational, and electromagnetic phenomena. Flow modeling and computational methods, including reduced-order models, coarse-grained models, and AI-based modeling/computation.


BACKGROUND INFORMATION

Shengqi Zhang is an assistant professor in the Eastern Institute of Technology, Ningbo, China. He obtained his B.Sc. and Ph.D. degree from Peking University (Supervisor: Shiyi Chen). He works on fluid mechanics and scientific computing, mainly focusing on theoretical analysis and reduced-order modelling methods for multi-physics systems. He received honors including High-level Talent of Zhejiang Province, Leading Talent of Ningbo, and Excellent PhD Dissertation of Beijing. He is the Principal Investigator of NSFC Young Scientists Fund, NSFC Joint Fund-subproject, National Science and Technology Major Project-subproject.

 

RESEARCH FIELD
