BACKGROUND INFORMATION

Wei Xia is an Assistant Professor at Eastern Institute of Technology Ningbo, serving as an independent Principal Investigator and PhD supervisor. He is also an adjunct PhD supervisor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He received his PhD in Advanced Materials and Mechanics from Peking University in 2016. He previously worked as a postdoctoral researcher and associate research fellow at Western University (Canada) and Southern University of Science and Technology. His research focuses on interdisciplinary frontier studies of all-solid-state batteries and neutron scattering characterization. He has developed several novel inorganic solid electrolytes, including “antifluorite-type” electrolytes and “inorganic-polymerized” amorphous halides, and has participated in the construction of major neutron science facilities. He has published more than 80 papers in leading international journals, including Science, Nature Communications, Journal of the American Chemical Society, Angewandte Chemie, Energy & Environmental Science, Advanced Materials, and Chemical Reviews, with over 10000 citations. He holds six authorized patents.
